Since I closed enrollment for The Collective two weeks ago, I have taken a step back from social media and been taking things slower in my life. (Which is new for me, I tend to spend a lot of time doing things.) I’ve noticed that my inner teenage self is rebelling and telling me loudly “I don’t want to do that (IG).” And so I’m listening to her and honoring her current desire.
I love Instagram because I get to connect with you but it also can drain your energy. There’s so much noise and distractions. It can be triggering and bring up so many insecurities. It can make you feel like you’re not doing enough. Or that you’re doing things wrong.
My inner teen has been craving more intimacy and connection with people. Not just feeling like she/I are on a stage speaking to a big group, who may not even be listening to what we’re saying. And because of this…The Collective has felt so nourishing. We have our own platform where we share posts like this. We tell each other what we’re struggling with, (yesterday’s post was about birthday blues, can anyone relate?) We share our wins and have an outpour of support. We ask for advice and share our resources with each other. We feel like a family and it’s only been 2 months since I created The Collective. If you too are craving more intimacy, looking for support, want to feel like you’re not alone…sign up for the waitlist so you can be the first to know when I open doors again to join.
How have you been feeling lately?
