The first time I did EMDR was exactly 2 years ago. I was going through a really stressful time after my dad relapsed in his 30 years of sobriety. To help me process this trauma, I started doing EMDR with a therapist. It’s a technique that was really effective for me and a technique I still use today to regulate my nervous system.
