EP 83: Rewire Your Mindset: 3 Steps to a Better Life


Hello, beautiful soul. Let’s start by taking a deep breath in through your nose… and a long, slow exhale out through your mouth.


I know things have felt heavy lately. The world is chaotic, uncertainty is everywhere, and if you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, you are not alone. In my Dream Bigger Mastermind, I’ve been guiding my clients through some incredibly challenging situations—potential job losses, financial fears, and big life transitions that are stirring up all kinds of doubt and scarcity.


But here’s what I know: We don’t have to stay stuck in fear. We can move through it.

In today’s post, I want to walk you through the Dream Bigger Framework, the exact process I use with my clients to shift from fear into clarity, action, and ultimately, empowerment.


Step 1: Awareness – What Am I Feeling and Why?

Before we can move forward, we need to get really honest about what’s coming up for us.

A client of mine recently panicked when she heard about federal funding freezes. Even though she didn’t work for the government directly, her company relied on government contracts. Suddenly, she was questioning everything—Am I about to lose my job? Have I been too comfortable? What will I do if I don’t have a paycheck?


When something shakes your sense of stability, your brain goes into worst-case scenario mode. It wants to protect you. But just because a thought exists doesn’t mean it’s true.


So ask yourself:


  • What am I afraid of?

  • Where is this fear coming from? (Is it from past experiences? Something someone told me? An assumption I’m making?)

  • Is this fear actually true right now?


In most cases, the worst-case scenario hasn’t happened yet. You’re still employed. You’re still safe. You still have options. This is the first step—acknowledging the emotions and questioning the stories running through your mind.


Step 2: Actualization – What Else Is True?

Once we’ve named our fears, it’s time to shift our energy and reprogram our beliefs.

In Dream Bigger Mastermind, I guide my clients through deep healing exercises to reframe their mindset. One of the most powerful ways to do this is by asking:


Who am I today?


For my clients, this meant realizing: 

✔️ I have decades of experience. 

✔️ I have a strong network of support. 

✔️ I trust myself to figure things out. 

✔️ I’ve been through hard things before, and I always find a way forward.


Instead of focusing only on the worst-case scenario, we also validate the best-case scenario—because both are possible.


One client, who had been relying on her job for security, realized this was the push she needed to finally take her side business seriously. Another started reaching out to her network for opportunities and discovered roles she hadn’t even considered.


You have options. You have skills. You are resourceful. You will figure it out.


Step 3: Achievement – What Steps Can I Take Now?

Clarity is powerful, but without action, nothing changes.


After moving through the awareness and actualization steps, I always ask my clients:


  • What is in your control right now?

  • What’s the next small step you can take today?


For some, it’s updating a resume or LinkedIn profile. For others, it’s reaching out to contacts in their industry. If you’re building a business, it might be finally selling your service instead of just thinking about it.


And let’s be real—most people never get to this step. They stay stuck in the fear or obsess over healing without actually doing anything different. But real transformation happens when you take action, even when you’re scared.
